Our mission, Making Better Happen™, describes our pursuit of continuous improvement.
AAK specializes in vegetable oils that are value-adding ingredients in a range of popular consumer products. We make these products taste better, healthier, and more sustainable. With our oils, the sensory properties of products can be improved, for example by making the consistency of premium chocolate softer, plant-based burgers juicier, or low-fat pastry dough crispier. By replacing ingredients with AAK’s vegetable-based alternatives, our customers can also optimize and streamline their production. With value-adding oils and fats, we help our customers succeed better.
Customer-collaborative product development and an understanding of what "better" means for each individual customer are at the core of our business. With our flexible production facilities and extensive expertise, we deliver our value-adding products to a range of industries, such as chocolate and confectionery, bakery, dairy, plant-based foods, special nutrition, foodservice, and personal care. Our 4,000 employees work closely with our customers via 25 regional sales offices, 15 innovation centers, and with support from over 20 production facilities.
AAK, headquartered in Malmö, is listed on the Nasdaq stock exchange in Stockholm and has pursued continuous improvement for 150 years.
Our facility in Karlshamn is a multi-product factory. All of the company's business areas are represented here. Swedish-grown rapeseed is an important raw material, while a large number of different vegetable fats are shipped directly to the factory in Karlshamn from growing countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, and America. The Nordic region is an important home market, while special products are exported from Karlshamn around the world.
